St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, Marceline, Mo

Come celebrate with us!

The parish family of St. Bonaventure in the Marceline, MO, area. is welcoming and outgoing. We are always glad to have visitors. Serving your needs brings life to our parish family.

We are continuing to work on a plan to renovate and add to our school. We are in the organizing phase of a capital campaign. We need to be positive and believe we can do this. With God’s help we can do anything we set our minds to. The school is a very important part of our parish ministry because it is the best way to hand on our faith to the next generation. A strong faith is so important in today’s society.

We are also in the process of interviewing applications for principal of our school beginning this fall. Mrs. Kelly Ott has been with us five years. She has done an outstanding job. However, her daughter is graduating from our 8th grade this year and she hopes to have her go to a Catholic high school, the closest at this time being Helias in Jefferson City. So she hopes to get employment in that direction so that they can transport their daughter to Helias. I have to admire their commitment to Catholic education. Those efforts will pay off.

Our parish dinner theater comedy, "Virgil and the City Slickers" is coming up real soon, Feb. 26th & 27th, March 5th, 6th and matinee on Sunday, the 7th. A committed group of parishioners have been working really hard, putting in a lot of long hours memorizing and practicing their lines. Another group is planning the dinner. As always in the past, it promises to be a very enjoyable evening. I look forward to being on the dish crew.

Even though it was zero this morning with about 4 to 6 inches of new snow, the harshest part of the winter is over and we are sliding into spring. It is a wonderful day. God has blessed us so!

Come, visit us. Allow us to serve you.
